Soap & Glory Drama Clean review

Tuesday, 3 February 2015

This is Soap & Glory's offering to the micellar market and I have to say this works just as well as the L'Oreal one. It removes my makeup and doesn't dry out my face. The only bad thing about this is the smell, it really is quite off putting. It smells very strongly of cucumbers which is due to cucumber water being an ingredient. I don't mind fresh scents but this is a bit too much. I much prefer no scent at all when it comes to makeup remover, I was dubious the first time I used this as I wasn't sure if this would sting my eyes or not as the smell was so strong. I'm not sure if it is the cucumber again but when using this over my lips it leaves a horrible taste behind so I would advise avoiding the lip area.

This can be used on all skin types, it is alcohol, soap and paraben free. It's currently on offer for £4.80 as opposed to the usual £6 at Boots. I will finish this bottle but I don't think I will be repurchasing as the scent is just not for me.

Have you tried this micellar water?

Soap & Glory Your Own Sweet Lime

Monday, 10 November 2014

Another Christmas gift set from Soap & Glory and it's my favourite scent they have done. This set is £10 but Boots currently have their 3 for 2 offer on all Christmas sets.

Inside are 4 items, shower gel, body scrub, moisturiser and a scrubby thing (what the hell are these called!?) A nice little gift set for any Soap & Glory fan, unless you hate the scent than not so much.

I have also shown the contents of The Next Big Thing here.

Soap & Glory The Next Big Thing

Thursday, 30 October 2014

That time of the year has arrived again, I go to Boots and pick up some of the Soap & Glory Christmas gift sets because I just can't help myself. Sadly quite disappointed in this years offerings, not much stood out compared to last year. I still picked up 3 sets and first I'll be showing the big gift set they bring out every year. This is £60 but contains all full size items so the value is much more than what you pay.

This year they have housed all the products in a drawstring bag which with the Christmassy box is a nice touch.

Inside there are 10 full size products and this years box contains -

Orangeasm body wash, Whipped clean shower butter & Butter yourself body lotion.

Off your face 3-in-1 cleansing clothes, The righteous butter & Sugar crush body scrub.

Heel genius foot cream & Hand dream which is a more intense version of Hand food.

Thick & fast mascara & Sexy mother pucker in charm offensive.

This would make a nice gift or even a stock up for yourself. This is such a good value set with a good mixture of their items. This was on the 3 for 2 offer along with all Christmas gift sets in Boots

Blogmas day 21 - Soap & Glory The daily soothe bath float review

Saturday, 21 December 2013

I love Soap & Glory products, I own quite a few (that's a lie, it's a lot) and when I saw this hmmm back in November I got it as it's something I'd not seen before. Basically it's a bubble bath but one you scoop out rather than pour.

This is scented wit the classic Mist You Madly so smells very nice.

I don't have the biggest hands so I do sometimes add 2 scoops as I like my baths super bubbly. Hold under running water while it turns into bubbles, I did find it took a little while to get it all off my hand as it left a little film.

This is a nice bubble bath, it's relaxing and something different to the usual ones. I really like this although as I use a lot and have a bath most days I don't think I can really justify paying £8 for this.

Available here - £8.00 Soap & Glory is usually on 3 for 2

Soap & Glory Christmas make up gift sets

Tuesday, 22 October 2013

Again S&G have brought out a few make up box sets for Christmas time, I believe all products in them can be bought separately. The Eyes Box is £16 from here, the price is likely to go down nearer to Christmas but it is currently 3 for 2 and the item that I got free. The be Your Own Gloss is £14 from here.

Eyes Box
This box contains a big mirror which is convenient. Apart from the eye shadows everything else can be removed which makes the box unnecessarily big. Anywho, inside is a Thick & Fast mascara, Smoulder Kohl in black which is very creamy and 6 eye shadows with a double ended brush. All shades I believe can be bought in the quads. I got the eye shadow palette last year and found the shades not the best for pigmentation but good if you don't want super dramatic colour. The mascara is good, it doesn't compare to Benefits They're Real but still a good one for day wear.

Be Your Own Gloss
5 minis of the Sexy Mother Pucker lip gloss. I have Punch Bowl, the pink one and it adds a nice colour to the lips. These glosses make the lips tingle which in turn makes them appear bigger. I have noticed that they do add some volume to the lips and I don't find the tingling uncomfortable. I think this is a good way to try out the glosses before investing in a full size.

Another 2 great gift sets that would make a lovely present for someone or a nice treat for yourself.

Soap & Glory Facetime

Friday, 18 October 2013

Another gift set from S&G, this one contains 4 face products all full size. I like that they give full size rather than samples. This is priced at £25 and can be purchased from here. I think this is a good mixture of items to try as I haven't tried anything from this set. Maybe a new favourite will be found.

Here is what's in the box -

Off Your Face
This pack contains 25 cleansing cloths. It says they are a 3-in-1, prevents blackheads and minimises large pores, antioxidants and vitamins and if pressure is used can be used as an exfoliator. Not to be used on the eye area, I will be using these in the evening when I just can't be bothered to wash my face...lazy I know.

Feel Good Factor
Now on the tube this says it is a translucent BB cream with SPF 25. Reading the reviews people were using the word moisturiser so I was a bit confused as to what this actually is. S&G state this is 'A booster, serum, moisturiser, primer, skin-tone evener and sunblock all-in-one. FEEL GOOD FACTOR is a silky-smooth, light, brightening, colourless BB cream that’s loaded with skin-rejuvenating moisturisers.' So an all rounder, I will test to see if this evens out skin tone as I never got on bored with the BB craze so no colour would be great.

Smooch Operator
Another lip butter to add to my collection. With ingredients such as argan oil, vitamin E oil and shea butter this sounds like it should be very good for chapped lips.

Puffy Eye Attack
An eye cream that claims to have anti-dark circle and anti-puff technology in can't be bad. I suffer from the dark circles more than puffiness so I will trying this out to see if it clears them up. Fingers crossed!

Totalling up the items prices and this set contains £34 worth of products so again it seems a £10 saving as with other sets.

Soap & Glory The Yule Monty

Tuesday, 15 October 2013

Every year S&G come out with a massive gift set which includes skin care and a couple of make up items. This years is the Yule Monty and is available for £60, the price goes down closer to Christmas and after in the sales. It is available from here, S&G is currently on 3 for 2 offer.

Here is what's in the bag -

Butter Yourself
Oh wow, this smells good. Fruity, I can definitely smell the mango in this. I do have plenty of moisturisers so this will be put in the stash for later use.
Sugar Crush Body Wash
This smells amazing, sweet lime but there's something else that I just can't think. I love the body washes come in such big sizes as they last for months.
Scrub of Your Life
I've used the travel size of this and I really enjoyed it. It's not like a typical grainy scrub, it's like a gel with little balls in which do a really good job of exfoliating but still leaving the skin soft and not dry.

Hand Food
The best hand cream I have ever used, not greasy, skins in quickly and leaves hand moisturised. I'm currently going through my sample hand creams but this will be really good for when the colder weather comes in.
Heel Genius
I already have one of these to use up so I'm hoping I like it! This is a cream to put onto dry feet at night, cover in cotton socks and then wake up to smooth feet. This will be put to the test now it's cold enough to wear socks in bed.
Peaches & Clean
This is my current cleanser so I know I already like it. I don't know why they needed to change the packaging, I think I prefer the old bottle. I've had a quick check and it doesn't look like the formula's changed and the website hasn't said so possibly it is the same.

The Righteous Butter
The typical S&G smell, I love their body lotions are very hydrating and this is a massive tub so I can see this lasting months.
Sexy Mother Pucker Extreme Plump
I've not tried one of these before, this is in Pink Out Loud and looks quite a neutral shade. I believe this will be very similar to the glosses so I'm sure it will have the same tingly feeling which I do quite enjoy.
Thick & Fast Mascara
I've tried this before and even though there are better mascaras it is still a good one.

Taking the prices from Boots this set contains £72.50 worth of products all full size. I love when brands so sets like these as it is a nice way to try from them without knowing what to buy. Excited already for next years.....now that is very sad.

Boots haul

Saturday, 12 October 2013

This time last year I made a trip to Boots and came away with a LOT of the Soap & Glory Christmas gift sets. This has now put in place a tradition that every October I over indulge myself with the 3 for 2 Soap & Glory sets. This time I got a few other bits and there's still a couple of gift sets I want to get. Nearer to Christmas and just after the sets are always reduced but I have no patience for that kind of waiting.

Real Techniques Powder £12.99 & Blush Brush £9.99
I have a smaller brush I use for powder and blush but was interested to see how this blush brush performed. I also think the bigger powder brush will make the job a lot quicker (obviously).
Eucerin - Even Brighter Pigment Reducing Corrector £14.50
This is a repurchase, so far I have noticed a difference on a few areas I've been using this on. This was also part of the 3 for 2 deal.
Soap & Glory - The Daily Soothe £8.00
I haven't seen this before so had a little looksee. It's a pre-bedtime bath float, basically a bubble bath. As I love me a bath the only thing I'm hoping for is lots of bubbles! It's scented with Mist You Madly.

Soap & Glory - Hand Maid £2.50
I got 2 of these are they are my favourite hand sanitizer. They don't have the horrible alcohol smell most others have. I got one of these for free.
Bobby Pins - £1.49
My current ones have now started to loose the black coating so time to replace them. Nothing too exciting.
Revlon - Lip Butter Pink Truffle £7.99
I didn't realise this was on sale but I got it for £5.99 so thanks Boots! I have been looking for this for a while but it was either out of stock or the store just didn't have it. This is a nice pinky/brown colour and the formula is just lovely.

Soap & Glory - The Yule Monty £60.00
One of the main things I went into Boots for. This contains 9 products, all full size I believe. I will be doing separate posts on the gift sets and what they contain. The bag it comes in is actually quite a good size so that could come in handy.

Soap & Glory - Facetime £20.00
I'm very pleased with this set and I may have to look into getting another. This contains 4 skin care items, the box is really cute.
Soap & Glory - Eyes Box £16.00
I got this one free yay Quite a bulky box for what's in it but a good selection of eye products.

Soap & Glory - Be Your Own Gloss £14.00
Minis of the Sexy Mother Pucker glosses. I've tried a couple of the normal size before and I like the tingly feeling they give plus also a nice bit of colour. These will be great to throw in my bag and then get lost in the depths of it.

Still a few bits left to get and then I will be set, my S&G addiction will be sedated until next year. Is it just me who loves this brand?
