BBB Edit Box 2013

Sunday 14 July 2013

Sadly this box has now sold out but in this post it gives notice about another box coming out in November. I am very pleased with this box, I love the beauty boxes for the surprise of what's in them. With P&P this cost £19.55 which for the contents is an amazing price.

Neom - Complete Bliss Moroccan Blush Rose Organic Hand Cream 50ml (Travel Size)
My sense of smell is pretty rubbish but this reminds me of Turkish delights? Probably not but not a bad smell. I always enjoy a nice hand cream so this will be thrown in my bag to try out. For 20% off an order online use the code BBB20 here, offer expires September 30th 2013. You will need to be logged into your Neom account to use this code.
Philosophy - Purity Cleanser 90ml £8.00 - Purity range can be found here.
I've used this cleaner before and it was nice, I don't think I noticed a major difference in my skin but it didn't break me out so I'm more than happy to use this up.
Elemis - Tri Enzyme Face Mask 15ml (Sample)
I'm really looking forward to using this mask mostly to experience the tingling sensation. This will also make a nice change from grainy scrubs as this removes dead skin cells a lot more gently. For 20% off & free P&P on first time orders here. Offer expires September 30th 2013.
Melvita - Apicosma Body Balm 15ml £4.00
This is the ultra nourishing body balm, all organic ingredient with a very nice smell of orange and considering I'm really not a fan of orange says a lot! Quite a small pot fit for travel or handbag usage. For 15% off a purchase online use code BBB13 here. Offer expires July 31st 2013.

Melvita - Orange Blossom Floral Water 28ml £4.50
One of the ingredients is bitter orange and this would explain the smell as it isn't the normal orange smell I would expect. This will be nice kept in the fridge and taken out on a hot day (which at the moment is quite a regular occurrence!)
CND - SolarOil 3.7ml - dependent on where you look this size is about £2.50
An oil that helps keep nails sand cuticles strong and hydrated. A quick sniff and it smells like marzipan, if that's not a reason to use I don't know what is. Found a few on Amazon but no doubt eBay will also have some at reasonable prices.
Lanolips - 101 Ointment 0.035oz.(Sample)
This seems a multipurpose oil 'chapped lips, nursing nipples, cuticles, dry nasal passages & dry and itchy skin.' As this is a treatment it will be something I use at night to give it time to get to work. Full size can be bought from here.

Bourjois - Cream Blush 2.5g Full size £7.99
I got this in shade ' Healthy Glow', this is very orange! Although I have seen it described as peachy I does seem quite scary in the pan. I prefer pink blushes but I will give this a go and see if it doesn't wash me out as I am very pale. This can be bought here.
Illamasqua - Liquid Metal Eye Shadow 8g Full size £17.50 but in sale now for £7.50
I got this in shade 'Electrum' an antique gold colour. This is my first Illasmasqua product so excited to try it out. I'm not a fan of gold but I think this will make a nice liner or inner eye highlight. Upon checking their website it seems Liquid Metal is now a discontinued product so if this is something you like I would suggest getting in there fast! This can be bought here.
Benefit - The Porefessional 7.5ml Travel Size Prices vary
The famous primer, I already have one of these to use I got in a Benefit set. I don't wear foundation but will be interested to see how this works on it's own. For a 10% off discount at Benefit use code BBB10. Offer expires one month from July 7th 2013. For the travel size eBay has some good prices.

B. - Longer Lengthening & Defining Mascara 6ml Full size £9.99 but now £6.66 in sale
A Superdrug own range which I believe is quite new. This is in black and has the 'tube' technology which coats each lash with tiny tubes to provide better coverage and a more dramatic look. This can be bought here.
Lanolips - Lip Ointment with Colour & SPF 15 12.5g £8.16
This is in shade ' Rhubarb' which from swatches looks like a nice light pinky/peachy colour so one I will definitely be wearing. I'm hoping this is not going to be sticky as most lip glosses are. I have found this to be quite cheap on eBay.

Trilogy - Rosehip Oil 20ml Full size £16.50
Rosehip oil can be used for scars, stretch marks & fine line and wrinkles. I've tried out the Rosehip oil antioxidant+ as I had a sample about. The smell was not very nice so possibly this one will be nicer but I am quite wary when it comes to using oils on my already oily T-zone but we shall see.
This can be bought here with a discount code of BBB2013, it doesn't say how much discount though. This expires August 31st 2013.
BioEffect - EGF Serum 2.5ml Sample
I already have a sample of this from a beauty Christmas calendar which I am yet to use. This is supposed to instruct the skin to restore it youthful process so this will help with complexion. This is a very expensive serum coming it at £125 in Boots. For a 15% discount use code BBB2013 when purchasing here. Offer expires July 22nd 2013.
Jo Loves - Pomelo 2ml Sample
No a bad scent, something to be thrown in the handbag for a touch up through out the day. This can be bought here. Top notes are Pink Pomelo and Rose.

Here is a close up of the blush and eyeshadow.

Well, all in all an amazing box and chance to try out some brands without paying out a small fortune. I am definitely looking forward to the next box coming out near the end of the year.

Now to find somewhere to put everything!!

Ciao

Weekend Haul

Thursday 4 July 2013

I rarely go shopping but this weekend I went twice and ended up buying quite a few things. By quite a few I mean a lot!

Schwarzkopf Live Color XXL in 00B Max Blonde & 91 Raspberry Rebel £5.49 each currently buy one get one half price.
I picked up 2 of each due to the offer and my usual leaving it to the last minute to remember hair dye. I've had pink hair for about 4/5 years and after using Crazy Color for a while this is now my favourite colour to use. I had bleach blonde before going pink so I now only need to retouch my roots rather than all over.
Lee Stafford Hair Growth Shampoo £6.99 currently buy one get one half price
I needed a new shampoo and in my quest to try to get my hair waist length (a very hard quest) I thought this might help. I've heard good things about the treatment from this range so I have high hopes. I've used this once already and it does a nice job of cleaning but as the bottles are quite small I'm not sure how long they will last.
Sally Hansen Regular Polish Remover £2.45 currently buy one get one half price
The remover I'm currently using is useless so that will be thrown away (only a little left) and this I'm hoping will actual take my polish off without having to go through a pack of pads every time!

Boots Baby Large Cotton Wool Pads £2.19 currently buy one get one half price
Not very exciting but thought I would try some bigger cotton pads in an attempt to use less when removing my make up.
Benefit They're Real Mascara £19.50 free gift with purchase
I got a sample of this is a beauty advent calendar and having nearly finished that up I repurchased. Quite expensive for a mascara but I really think it is worth it and I very much like how easy it is to remove compared to some other mascaras.

Eucerin Even Brighter Pigment Reducing Day Cream SPF 30 £22.50, Night Cream £23.50 & Spot Corrector £14.50 no offers sadly
I'm very excited about these 3 products. I have some (more than needed) freckles on my face that I really want gone. I know this won't make them disappear but I will take faded and less prominent in it's place. Once a few other moisturises have been used up I will be smothering my face in these yay!

No7 Make Up Brush Cleanser £8 with voucher I got it for £5 currently buy one get one half price
I thought it was about time I cleaned my brushes, they aren't disgusting but a little treat won't hurt them.
Ralph Eau De Toilette £15.99 originally £30 £14.01 saving
I love this perfume, I used to wear it all the time until it became really hard to find in stores. £30 for a 30ml bottle is a bit much so I treated myself while it is on discount. It reminds me of summer, fruity and clean.
Too Faced Borderline £12.50 no offers =(
Annoyingly some bright colours bleed out and make it look like a 3 year old has crayoned my lips. This is a clear lip liner so can be used with any colour, I just hope this works!
Vanilla Puff Dusting Powder £4.50 Lush
I am terrible when it comes to moisturising my body, one of the reasons being I hate waiting for it to sink in and stop being tacky. I bought this to dust over my moisturiser to help dry it out if that makes any sense. This smells, well, a bit weird in the bottle so I do hope that smell changes once on the skin.

Strawberry Body Mist £7.50  - the Body Shop always has amazing offers on
This smells amazing! I already have the mango one but this is much sweeter, I wish they would do a cherry one.
Coconut Oil £5.50
Now I may have made a mistake with this. After watching Kandee Johnson's video, how to hide a zit where she used coconut oil to smooth the spot before applying concealer I knew this I what I needed. Off to Body Shop I went and spotted this, as an after thought I now think this won't work due to all the other ingredients. Oh well, good intentions I suppose.
Peppermint Smoothing Foot Scrub £7.00
This was a free gift which is perfect now the sun is supposed to be coming out. I've used this before and it is very refreshing.

I also used a 40% off code I got through on email so even better.

I went into The Works which is a discount bookstore and found a display with American candy on, I was very pleasantly surprised and got straight to grabbing as much as I could. I picked up 2 of each and have so far enjoyed a box of Milk Duds and a pot of Lucky Charms. Why don't they sell them over here!

Miss Selfridge Super Skinny Jeans £36/38
Picked up a couple of skinny jeans but for some reason the blue pair seem to have lost their tightness since trying them on in the changing room....weird.

Iron Fist Sweets For My Sweets £19.99 down from £35
I love and I mean love Iron Fist, I have spent quite a few hours browsing the shoes and clothes on ebay and making a lot of purchases. These flats are so cute and at £20 I could not say no! I also picked up Love Me Flat Rose & Anchor, also in the sale for £19.99.

My main reason for being in Schuh was to pick up some new high tops and I found these beauties

  Adidas Honey Mid Stripes £52

Well, that was my very big haul. My poor little card is weeping from so much use.

Ciao

Burt's Bees - Summer Grab Bag

Tuesday 2 July 2013

Finally! I have managed to get my hands on one of the grab bags after being late to the party many times before. I'm sure the ones before were a bag of surprise products where as the Summer ones you know what you'll be getting. There are 2 boxes to choose from, Pink Blossom & Rose. Both £25 with a value of £50 are still in stock from the looks of things.

I got the Pink Blossom but both come in the same yellow box with cute bee ribbon aww.

The website lists there are 6 full size products with a sample of either a sensitive or intense hydrating face care product but I got both so bonus!

Radiance Body Lotion with royal jelly - £9.99
This lotion is supposed to enhance your skin's natural radiance. To be applied to any areas you want a natural radiant glow. I haven't opened the little foil seal as I have a million other lotions to use first but from what the tube says I kinda think this will have little shimmers in it...
Radiance Day Lotion with royal jelly & SPF 15 - £19.99
A really nice glass bottle moisturiser with a pump which I really like. I put a little bit of this on my hand and it has a weird smell but I'm guessing that's the royal jelly. This doesn't have any shimmers so I may be wrong about the lotion....but with SPF 15 this will be a good double product.

Tinted Lip Balm in Pink Blossom - £5.99
This gives just a hint of colour which is a pretty pale pink, it's very sheer but hopefully very moisturising as well.
Honey Lip Balm & Replenishing Lip Balm with Pomegranate Oil - £3.69 each
I'm already using the replenishing balm but in a different packaging. The website states this balm 'coats the lips with a hint of colour for an even-toned appearance.' I can't say I've noticed any colour so unless they've changed it along with the packaging I may be missing something. The honey one I'm not so sure about as I don't like honey but we shall see.

Super Glossy Lip Shine in Sweet Pink - £6.99
A very shiny gloss with tiny gold flecks in. I'm not a massive lip gloss fan as they're always too sticky so I will try this in the hope it isn't. The colour is very sheer so I might put this over some darker colours.
Lip Shimmer in Watermelon - £5.99
This didn't come in the box, it's something I bought as I am obsessed with lip products ha This is a dusky pink with quite a lot of shimmer in it. The only annoying thing is that once twisted up the product doesn't twist back down so I have to push it. Woe is me.

Sensitive Daily Moisturising Cream - full size 50G £14.99
My skin isn't sensitive but I will give this a go when I run out of moisturiser or I'll take this when travelling.

Intense Hydration Night Cream - Full size 50G £19.99
As well as hydrating it is supposed to help reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles which I'm sure most creams now claim to do. Again I may keep this for travel.

Well, all in all I'm quite happy with the grab bag, even though the element of surprise was removed the contents are very good. I would say a box well worth the £25, I think I got free delivery as well. Even though the site says about high demand on the product and shipping taking 4 days I got mine 2 days after ordering so very impressed.
